Filtering Undesirable Service Substitution Behaviors using Filtering Guidelines

چکیده
A service T can substitute a service S if T interacts with every partner of S in a deadlock-free manner. We introduce the notion of a filtered service of a service S with less or the same traces of external messaging behavior as S, yet can substitute S. We propose a finite representation of all filtered services of S called filtering guidelines. Given a service T that cannot substitute S, we can employ the filtering guidelines based techniques to construct a filtered service for S from T by filtering out certain undesirable behavior of T that are not described by the filtering guidelines.
